| LCNV’s inaugural A Taste of Literacy breakfast on March 29th was an overwhelming success! It was attended by over 150 people who enjoyed delicious food, heard the inspiring stories of our speakers, and helped support LCNV’s programs for beginning-level English language learners throughout Northern Virginia.
Thanks to their generosity, LCNV raised over $38,000 to provide excellent and accessible English classes for LCNV learners! Thank you to our guest speaker and ongoing supporter, Ki Ho Kang of KIHOMAC, Inc., for sharing your own experience learning English and the ways you have witnessed LCNV grow over the years. The event was hosted by DoubleTree by Hilton McLean Tysons, an important partner in our Destination Workforce® Program. Thank you to their Area Director of Food and Beverage, Joanna White, who shared the impact DoubleTree sees in working with LCNV to empower their staff.
