The Literacy Council of Northern Virginia will be hosting an intensive ESOL Tutoring Workshop. The workshop occurs on three consecutive Saturdays and costs $50. The fee covers both workshop materials, as well as the first set of books tutors will use with their students.

Basic Literacy Tutor Training

Two-Day Basic Literacy Tutor Training

The Literacy Council of Northern Virginia will be hosting a Basic Adult Literacy Tutor training, which will be held on two consecutive Saturdays and costs $40. The fee covers both workshop materials, as well as the first set of books tutors will use with their students.

Students

Beginning-Level English Classes

The Literacy Council of Northern Virginia (LCNV) offers Beginning-Level English classes to adults to improve their English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Classes teach adults about American culture and life skills important to the workplace. Classes are offered three times a year and focus on different themes – finance, health and nutrition, civics and community, etc.
