The Literacy Council of Northern Virginia is a not-for-profit organization which relies entirely on public support. Founded in 1962 by community members, we’ve kept our doors open ever since with the support of volunteers and donors. We’re funded by private and corporate foundations, state and local government, individuals, and local civic groups. Thanks to local support, we were able to provide educational opportunities to more than 1800 students in the last year alone. With your gift, we can continue to insure that those who want to learn to read and write are given an opportunity. All gifts are tax deductible.
